I'm a sucker for Christmas candy. As soon as it hits the shelves, I grab some. I especially love those funky-flavored candy canes, like the Life Savers or Jelly Belly ones.

If you want a new comic to read, and you want to catch it from the beginning (and you're not a kiddo - this comic isn't for the younger crowd), you need to read "The Less Than Epic Adventures of TJ and Amal," by the amazing EK Weaver. Her artwork is beautiful, her work ethic floors me, and TJ and Amal are both really compelling characters that have a story that I absolutely love. Please give it a look! Also, we were recently announced as guests at T-MODE for next year - you should definitely consider going if you're near Virginia. This is a con that needs some love!

Oh that's so mean. Here's the real results. We visited Pat's, Geno's, Tony Luke's, and Talk of the Town. At each one, we got one cheesesteak to split between the two of us. We were looking for fresh, crusty bread, juicy meat, yummy cheese, and a good cheese/wiz to beef/onions/bread ratio (we were seriously scientific about this). The winners? Matt loved Pat's, and my fave was Tony Luke's. The "best" is seriously going to be different for every person, so the next time you're in Philly, go on a cheesesteak tour of your own and find your favorite!

Shout those magic words in Philly, and you will make friends almost instantly. The World Series had ended at that point, though. It was also during the SEPTA strike, and despite all of the suck that the city had endured that week, they were nice. (If no one spoke "cheesesteak talk," we could've been in a lot more trouble.)

Back from the awesomeness that was Zenkaikon. We really enjoyed getting to meet current readers and new readers, as well as getting to hang out with some very awesome people. We wanted to thank the Friday Knights and their friends for taking us around and letting us taste yummy cheesesteaks. (We also wanted to thank my friend Rachel for bringing us some fresh Philly pretzels and chilling out with us on Sunday!)

I apologize for the spotty updates. You all have been so patient as Matt and I have been adjusting to my new work schedule, and we want to thank you for that. We'll be attending Zenkaikon next weekend, and there's all sorts of stuff that we'll be doing, including an entire panel dedicated to answering your questions and making fun of our inability to update on time. There's still time to preregister, and we'll be posting a full schedule of events on Monday.

If you want to contribute, e-mail your work to us with your name and your website, so that we can link to you! Yes, I know about Scion. I actually got a preview copy of the first book when it first came out; I believe that the campaign I ran was (one of) the first run outside of White Wolf's playtesting. Credit where it is due!!!!!! Or something. But it IS epic, no question about it. - Matt

The Snuggie is everything horrible and utterly wrong in this world. It's a fleecy hospital-gown-looking thing that is supposedly a blanket with sleeves. (And no, I refuse to link to it. There are just some horrors on this whole wide web that cannot be linked to.) In other words, it's a really ugly reversed robe, and they even MAKE THEM FOR DOGS NOW. THAT'S RIGHT, WRAP YOUR WEINER DOG IN PURE, UNADULTERATED EVIL. I am incredibly disgusted by it, even though I wear mine on a semi-regular basis as I do comics. Ugh. It's totally Bill's fault for getting me this terrible fluffy abomination.
